Responsibilities
Responsible for post-accident chassis inspection and component replacement.
Steering & Suspension Repair: Comprehensive servicing of steering and suspension units.
Wheel Alignment: Execution of four-wheel alignment procedures.
Subframe: Removal and installation of subframes.
Brake System: Inspection and replacement of brake components.
Drivetrain: Peripheral inspection and maintenance of the drivetrain system.
Diagnosis: Initial assessment of abnormal noises and driving conditions.
Executing high-voltage safety procedures specific to EV models:
High Voltage Disable / Enable: Safe isolation and re-energization of the system.
High-Voltage Safety Inspection: Comprehensive safety checks.
Current Collection System: Inspection of the current collection system.
HV Cable & Connector Inspection: Visual and functional checks of high-voltage cabling and connectors.
High-Voltage Insulation Testing: Verification of insulation integrity.
HV Safety Compliance: Adherence to all high-voltage safety standards.
Assisting with operations on core electric vehicle components for accident vehicles:
Drive Unit: Removal and installation of traction motor/drive unit peripherals.
HV Battery: Support for high-voltage battery pack removal and installation.
Battery S hield & Cooling: Inspection of battery protection shields and cooling systems.
Structural Verification: Confirmation of surrounding battery pack structures.
Damage Assessment: Initial evaluation and reporting of battery damage.
Pre- and Post-Repair Checks: Safety inspections related to high-voltage systems before and after repair.
Collaborating with body repair, painting, and parts departments:
Disassembly & Reassembly: Assisting with vehicle teardown and restoration.
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Coordinating the repair workflow across departments.
Pre-Delivery Verification: Functional confirmation prior to vehicle handover.
Efficiency & Quality: Supporting overall repair efficiency and delivery quality.
Requirements
Basic Competencies
Knowledge of automotive chassis and suspension systems.
Understanding of basic electric vehicle (EV) structure.
Fundamental vehicle diagnostic capabilities.
Proficiency in tool and equipment operation.
Advanced Competencies
High-Voltage System Safety Certification.
Understanding of EV structure and current collection systems.
Basic knowledge of Drive Units and HV Batteries.
Four-wheel alignment proficiency.
Fundamental understanding of CAN Bus concepts.
