The IT Project/Application Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates activities of an IT project team, identifying necessary resources and developing schedules to meet completion deadlines.
- Collaborates in development of project business and system requirements.
- Develops requirement documentation.
- Communicates with project staff and clients regarding status of projects.
- Utilizes project management tools and provides project status tracking and metrics

- Contributes to process improvement efforts.
- Utilizes good understanding of IT project leadership procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas.
- Evaluates business processes, system processes and industry standards.
- Applies good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives.
- Provides guidance to new or junior level analysts.
- Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
- Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.
- Exchanges ideas and information in a concise and logical manner.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years experience in an IT project leadership role with commensurate people management experience.
- Experience working in the financial services industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT operations.
- Exposure to managing vendor relationships or supporting vendor-related activities.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Application Ownership
- Operational Oversight: Manage and monitor the day-to-day operational health, performance, and availability of assigned applications.
- Support & Maintenance: Coordinate and oversee application maintenance activities, including patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous service.
- Requirements & Design: Work with business users and development teams to clarify requirements and ensure technical solutions meet functional and non-functional specifications.
- Incident & Problem Support: Assist in the analysis and resolution of application incidents and problems, working with vendor teams to restore services and prevent recurrence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date application documentation, including architectural diagrams, operational procedures, and configuration details.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure applications comply with internal Citi policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements by performing regular checks and working with compliance teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor application performance metrics and utilize tools to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for optimization.
Vendor Management Support
- Vendor Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for operational queries and issues with assigned technology vendors.
- SLA Monitoring: Track and report on vendor performance against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), escalating deviations to senior management.
- Invoice & Contract Review: Support the review of vendor invoices and contracts, ensuring services delivered align with agreed-upon terms and scope.
- Compliance Verification: Assist in verifying that vendor solutions and processes comply with Citi's security policies, data privacy regulations, and other relevant mandates.
- Issue Resolution: Facilitate the resolution of operational issues with vendors, working to ensure timely and effective corrective actions.
- Vendor Performance Reporting: Contribute to regular vendor performance reviews by gathering data and preparing reports for senior management.
